For so many of us, work is much more than a way to make a living: It is an expression of our sense of self, our source of meaning and purpose, and central to our spiritual life. But seeing our jobs as a calling can also lead to blurred boundaries and even burnout. How do we sustain the passion that draws us to this work without being consumed by it?

Dr. Saul Kaiserman draws on his research on Reform rabbi-educators to spark an interactive conversation about calling, leadership, and sustainability in Jewish life. You’ll explore key insights, reflect on your own setting, and leave with concrete ideas for creating workplaces that better support and sustain values-driven professionals. Bio: Dr. Saul Kaiserman, RJE (he/him) is a sought-after educator, consultant and coach. He is emeritus founding director of lifelong learning at the storied Congregation Emanu-El of the City of New York, where he served for fifteen years. He has been honored by the ARJE as a Distinguished Jewish Educator and his doctoral research earned him the Wechsler Award for Emerging Scholars from the Network for Research in Jewish Education.
