Claude as a Co-Worker: Practical AI for Jewish Educators

Description

The Professional Learning Committee will host a series of three sessions on using AI in Jewish Educational Settings. The sessions will be both thought provoking and provide practical skill development. This session will be led by Rabbi Daniel Bogard.

Session Description:  For educators who are already using AI regularly and want to go deeper. This session focuses on Anthropic's Claude — specifically the Cowork product — as a genuine collaborator in your daily work, not just a chatbot you ask questions to.

We'll work through real use cases drawn from the rhythms of Jewish educational life: drafting communications to parents, building source sheets and lesson plans, managing the chaos of inbox and calendar, and offloading the small administrative tasks that eat our weeks. By the end, you'll have a practical sense of how to bring Claude into your workflow as a co-worker rather than a tool — and you'll leave with concrete techniques you can use the next morning. I'll also walk through how to access Anthropic's nonprofit pricing ($8/month for individuals, $40/month for teams), which makes this genuinely affordable for our institutions.
