ARJE Board of Trustees Self-Nomination

TERM: Three year term to commence March 1, 2027

The ARJE Board engages in the work of looking forward, identifying trends and challenges in the world that will affect Jewish educators and strategically planning to address them. It works to ensure the financial stability of our organization and support the CEO by providing feedback and guidance. The ARJE Board seeks to form partnerships with others invested in the work of Jewish education. The board tackles the big questions and challenging issues and works collaboratively with ARJE staff and volunteers to move our organization and the work of Reform Jewish educators forward.

In order to be eligible for board service you need to have been a member of the ARJE for at least three years, be current in your dues, and have ARJE as your primary membership.  The board currently meets in person annually, next planned for early March 2027. There are also monthly meetings via zoom held on Thursdays at 12:00 ET. Attendance at these meetings is critical.  Additionally, board members often work on projects and/or are part of standing committees of the board. While the ARJE pays a portion of expenses to attend in-person meetings, board members should be prepared to contribute towards those expenses as well as to make a donation to the ARJE of at least $180.00 per year.
