** Postponed ** Rabbi Andrea Weiss, Ph.D., will share her forthcoming book, American Values, Religious Voices: Letters of Hope from People of Faith. This publication collects the 2021 American Values, Religious Voices letters sent by scholars of religion across the country to the President, Vice President, and 117th Congress for the first 100 days of the Biden administration, along with essays that reflect on the significance of this national, nonpartisan campaign and the values highlighted in the letters. Rabbi Weiss will show how educators can make the most of this project, especially through the “Letters in Practice” section, which provides guidance on how use the letters in teaching, different spiritual practices, various forms of civic engagement, and more. Following the presentation please stay for ARJE schmoozing and lunch. This event is open to ARJE members, and HUC-JIR School of Education alum.
